Tonight I begin going national- yay! My present  radio show on Heart 104.9fm will be syndicated with their sister station, Gagasi  99.5fm, in Kwazulu Natal. So there will be a simulcast between the two stations allowing listeners in both provinces access to the show simultaneously. I get to talk with two hot DJ's, Paul Playdon and Trevor Phillips, simultaneously. A lot of oral sex...

What excites me most is learning about the needs of listeners in a different province. Gagasi is the largest Zulu & English radio station in the country- launched in March 2006, it already has 1.8 million listeners!! It is aimed at Black urban listeners of KZN and plays kinda cool music- hip hop, 40% local content, contemporary music. In fact very similar music genre to Heart. I am presently challenged to remain present, focused and taking  care of myself as my schedule reaches epic proportions. As my colleague Dr. Carol Thomas said last night as she introduced me to present my lecture  at SAMS on the "Ageing  Male"- I don't just turn up and talk- sooo very much preparation goes into all the work I do.. I listened to her presenting my CV - quite humbling to be a witness  and  hear about the body of work one does and has created - and I commented that clearly I am not having enough sex as how else does someone find time to do all the work I produce:)
