We went live and she curiously began pressing the remote button. Each time she did I jumped as I felt the internal buzz. She soon got what was going on.. It has to be one of the most memorable , fun radio shows I have done in 15 years.

I am far from festive thoughts - although my ticket to Miami just arrived today
. I am deep in the hell of moving into the 16 Days of Activism of Violence Against Women. If you listen to my radio shows (see streaming live button for my show on Heart) you will hear the pain of abuse emerge, the voices of both men and women sharing rape, emotional and physical abuse stories. I urge you to participate. Blog your story here, phone it , text or e mail it into me - sharing is the beginning of releasing. I wish I had magical wisdom to remove your pain, to make it all go away- but I don't and it can't . What we can do is prevent it happening to our children, to people in our communities, our country. Talk to your children about bullying, about their abusive or violent behaviour towards each other . Talk to your husband/partner/lover about behaviour that is intolerable to you. Do it the minute you feel it happening. Men are deeply wounded in our country . Teach them kindness and offer them spaces in which they can show their kindness. I Beg you not to buy your children games of violence, competitiveness , guns, and showmanship. Buy them books, music and experiences of love and sharing.
