Aah what a joy! A song that celebrates sex!
My very adult children brought this You Tube video to my attention. Im not sure what I enjoyed more- the actual song/video or seeing the fun they had laughing at it. That's the rewards I reap for having raised my children in a sexually responsible and intelligent manner- children who are now adults openly discussing and sharing sexuality with me around the dinner table as they say "pass the water please".
Back to the song.. find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQlIhraqL7o.I most love the inital expressions on the faces of the young women who with thumbs down , indicate that these young men were really just having sex as in penis into vagina with little knowledge or awareness of what the woman wanted.
It is in sheer contrast to the hate speech around sexuality, the fear driven like a stake into the hearts of horny children who do it any way - and parents wonder why... It is my fantasy that you will show this video (they probably have seen it anyway) to your children and use it to discuss your ideas about sex with them. This is the teachable moment, the moment to discuss your values around sexuality, relationships and sexual health. And from me , let them know that this is truly what sex is about - a celebration, fireworks , a sense of real pleasure - you add in your responsibilities talk.
