Im watching the Grammys live in New York City.
Tributes pour in for Whitney Houston from her peers as the show goes on. All over the city her song "I will always love you" plays. People are so drawn to these magic words. Its the ultimate vow, the inevitable desire we all have: to always love and be loved by someone. And I believe we do always love the one with whom we have shared love of one kind or another. It simply changes with time.
Last week I had the privileged experience of working with YPO Manhattan chapter. A dine around to 4 homes in Park Avenue. 4 groups of mostly married people. Curiosity and gorgeous food were served up. We thought and spoke about love and how to love in modern times. It is rather unnerving to risk loving today - so much to loose, so much to gain. Perhaps the Republican Party has the answer = conservative religious Christian beliefs will save families and keep the love at home. Im not so sure about that..
I think love is an action ,as in a deliberate intention to love someone at any one time. It is not easy work. Consider your own sense of love. And then watch out for the Sexuality and Relationship Intelligence quizz which will be posted here this week. And play Whitney till tears fall from your eyes with love.
