arvey Milk. That means all of us. A movie that reflects the passion of a man who needed to make a difference, who risked doing just that. Are you such a person? Can you take risks in your own world, your personal relationships with people? Each one of us has a Harvey Milk inside of us, a hero waiting to come out and rescue people, stand up for a cause.
I was surprised when a friend told me recently that he was still planning on moving to the States. I asked why. He had no real reason. i heard another couple discussing the merits of moving to Australia. Why , I asked? Surely staying in this country of Z& Z (Zuma & Zille) has to be the most interesting place to live.So much sex talk between them- have you noticed? I love it, I love that sex gets so much attention from our politicians. Such a pity that it is the same slanderous sex talk that keeps people sexually ignorant of true facts, maintains sexuality as a thing to be used as dirty talk between adults - but not ina sexy dirty talk way. Sexuality is once again used in such a negative manner - I am so determined to get my book Dr. Eve's Sex Book (Human & Rousseau, 2008) into the schools - maybe I can make a difference after all.
Go see Milk to get an idea of the history of the gay revolution- perhaps you too can make a difference . As in when you teach your children about sexuality, you include discussions about sexual orientation. You enable them to discuss not only how do I get HIV or how not to fall pregnant , but also I like my best friend who is the same gender as me. Read my book and find some answers for yourself. Mostly teach your kids to tolerate not hate. Good night
