400 plus women poured into the Cape Milner Hotel. Despite rain, freezing temperatures and the seduction of warm beds and maybe even bodies, women arrived to learn, laugh and cry together. I find it totally invigorating, stimulating, absorbing to listen to women's stories but when over 400 women have stories to tell it is as if the whole world is filled with women and their pain.

I live in this balance of holding the privilege each therapist holds when a client enters her/his sacred therapy room and absorbing the pain of each precious person. When embedded in a group of women, as in today, it is overwhelming. I want to hear each story, "hold" each woman, remove each of her scars and honor her bravery and beauty.

And today the women did that for each other- so much support, love, tears, hearts opening towards each other- such a privilege to witness. I thank every woman who arrived , who voiced themselves, who listened so respectfully to each other. I thank the NGO's and commercial enterprises who educated and entertained the women. And of course I thank my Dr. Eve Girls- Moreeda, Teresa and Melanie for sex toy demos and their usual ability to make every woman feel safe in our space. Oh what a wonderful day we had...
