Jon Quelane, Moegeng Moegeng and Julius Malema have tested my apetite for social /sexual justice

Jon Quelane gets off on a technicality, refuses to apologise as he saunters back to Uganda, a country in which he, as a homophobe must be extremely comfortable. After all Uganda is not assured of its Anti Homosexuality Bill being dismissed, it still lingers in Parliament.

Moegeng Moegeng's record gets uglier and uglier. I ask and am asked is it possible for him (anyone for that matter) to separate their personal beleifs from the law? Surely we choose people, places of worship, books to read, research to quote, that fits in with our own personal belief systems?? And yes of course one can be professional but it must be terribly hard to feel a lack of congruence in the work one has to do and one's own personal beleif system.

For example Icould not work for a sexual health/educational institution that did not reflect my personal value systems. I cannot split my personal from my professional- and no, that does not mean that I personally am a swinger- but I have no judgement against swingers, especially those who practice good sexual health :)

Julius Malema's mob threatened female journalists with rape- did you hear about this? Not openly published in the press but it happened. It created immense personal distress in me-  it was an  open, blatant, male sexual dominance and threat of force over women during times of war. Why the silnce on this??

I saw a fascinating Youtube video of a feminist aetheist, Rebecca Watson(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dnes4x33ss) discussing her elevator incident. I would love to hear your views on this. This is what the Quelane's, Moegeng's and Malema's of the world have turned women into.
