| Following the tabling of the Anti-Homosexual Bill in the Ugandan parliament, a new Civil Society Coalition on Human Rights and Constitutional Law has been formed, set to respond to the draconian bill which, according to the coalition undermines basic human rights and the Constitution of Uganda.
Perhaps you are wondering why I am going on and on about this Bill. I urge you to read the document attached written by the newly formed Civil Society Coalition. I need you to get a full understanding what an extreme violation it is of all people's human rights, not merely gay people. You cannot sit back and pretend this does not affect you as you are not gay. It is a human rights violation. It affects you. Send out this document to your address book. I plead with you. We will loose our humanity if we allow this Bill to go through without a bleat from you. I provide you with this letter as it gives you facts which means you cannot plead ignorance if you are travelling though Uganda and are stopped at customs, and taken into custody merely for having a book on you which is educaitonal material or a novel containing writings on homosexuality. Even if it is about Homosxuality and HIV prevention. I urge you to send this letter out, write to your newspapers and call in the radio stations in your area.
