Thousands of delegates will be attending the World Congress of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), taking place at the Cape Town Convention Centre from 4-9 October.
World leaders in their field will be gathering to discuss a range of topics. One of the guests is Professor John Studd who is a renowned expert in the field of the menopause, and as part of FIGO’s outreach to the public you are invited to hear him speak on the latest developments. The Women’s Health Forum will take place at 7.30pm in the New Learning Centre at UCT’s Medical School in Observatory on 7 October. There is ample parking.
Professor Studd was Consultant Gynaecologist at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London, and is the Chairman of the British Menopause Society. He will be joined by Professor Hennie Botha who is the Head of Gynaecologic Oncology at Tygerberg Academic Hospital and Stellenbosch University. Botha will talk on New Vaccines to Protect Against Cervical Cancer.
