Hi Dr,

Is there a product in SA which is safe to use for Anal Bleaching which does not include hydroquinone, kojic acid and chemical preservatives such as methylparaben and propylparaben? I have reviewed an American product called South Beach Skin Solutions: Lightenng Gel for sensitive areas which claims to contain none of these products. Do you tink it would be a safe product to order?

I cannot comment on the product you mention as it is unknown to me. I do know that this is a dangerous thing you are wanting to do—I cannot imagine why you would want to bleach your anus?? It sounds dangerous, leaving you vulnerable for possible HIV/STI infection. Bleach removes outer layers of tissue so necessary for protection of the anus—and the vagina.

I firmly recommend you stay far away from these kinds of products.

The prodcut is very gently and really effective. It isn't a bleach, it works on the tyrosinaze enzyme that produces pigmention to gradually decrease pigmentation. All ingredients are natural. It isn't like chemical peels where it removes layers of your skin, so I would really recommend this product.
