Hi Dr,
In Oct 2005 I discovered that I have an allergic intestine for fibre. I had to go on a strict diet which cuts out most of my green vegetables, fibres ect. My fruit I have to eat without peals etc. I have noticed since then that I have a problem getting my brain sexually stimulated. My husband and I are married 18 years and we have had a wonderful sex life up to now, so much so that my husband at one stage said that he cannot keep up with me. I don't want to use lubricating gels and things like that. I would like to know if there is any tonic or tables on the market that will get my brain stimulated again?

I have not ever heard of a particular change in diet taking away sexual appetite. So I cannot say that your changed diet directly has influenced your sexuality. Perhaps if you have gained or lost weight due to the diet, this may make you feel less sexually confident and interested. Maybe you are experiencing pain which puts you off having sexual play.
Or just maybe you are going through peri-menopause and do not know as you have not had your sex hormones checked. SO I suggest you go for a full medical and hormonal check up, just to clear any possible medical illnesses that may be contributing to you feeling this way.
And no there is no tonic or tablet that will make you feel sexual again. Rather investigate for any possible medical reasons and if you are medically clear then perhaps you and your husband need fresh ideas and a little bit of variety to spice your lives up again. Try and bring some sex toys into your life. Visit my shop and choose something that you find interesting. And by the way, water(ASTROGLIDE) & silicone based (VIELLE) lubricant is just fabulous!
