Last week while making love there were lots of fluid coming out of me, it ran all over my thighs and wet the bed. This was the second time this has happened to me while making love, what is that fluid and is it normal?
Dr. Eve answers
I wish I knew your age as there a few reasons why this gushing is happening to you. In other words gushing happens to many women for a variety of reasons. If you are an older woman, or a woman who has given birth and as a result have weak pelvic floor muscles, this may be urinary stress incontinence.
A recent study showed how commonly women have coital incontinence – they pee with penetration or with orgasm or a combination of both. So you want to check up with your health care professional what the status of your pelvic floor is.
You can even test yourself - see how well you can stop your pee, how well you contract around a finger, toy or penis inserted into your vagina. Check if you pee a little when you run, jump, cough, sneeze. If you do in addition to coital incontinence go see your urologist.
I recommend Smartballs for all woman as it is a sure way to strengthen that important muscle.
Of course you could be having g zone female ejaculation. This happens when a woman is very turned on, has deep vaginal stimulation (or even clitoral stimulation) and suddenly whoosh – she’s gushing prostatic fluid. Its not pee- smell and taste it to make sure what it is.
Treatment: enjoy! Have lots of towels to wipe up wetness and go for it.
