I have this nice boyfriend and i really hate to lose him on day, my problem is that i know my HIV status and i would like us to talk about this issue. The fact is I'm not so sure how he will react when i tell him about my status because i love him so dearly and i hate to lose. Please help me on how to bring this up to him.

This is a challenging situation that too many South African women face right now. Truth is it is unfair not to disclose to him, to offer him choice. Also it is dangerous as perhaps you two are not using condoms and safer sex consistently and correctly – and he does not realize that he is at high risk for infection.
I suggest you disclose in a professional space - set up an appointment at an HIV/AIDS clinic and invite him to join you. Let the professional educate him, support him as you disclose and then he has facts on hand with which to make decisions. Take the chance of rejection, but you must take this chance as you really are obligated to disclose to him.
