Are there any medicines that one can take to reduce your sexual drive?

Dr. Eve answers

I am so curious as to why you want to suppress your sexual drive?? I have to guess that you are a man requesting this information – seldom do women want their sex drives reduced... I wonder if your sexuality is interfering with your life? Your relationship? Are you acting out - too many hours with internet porn perhaps? Sex workers? Or just been told by your partner that your sex drive is too high??

To answer your question there are no approved medications for reduction in desire – of course there are drugs that inadvertendly redcue seual desire – but they will bot be administered to you unless accompanied by a strong motivation by your health care provider.

Before going a medical route, check out with a counselor about what really is getting you to ask this question.

Most anti-depressants. Cipralex is great at doing this. Even when you do have sex and have an orgasm, you feel nothing.
