I used morning after pill about 6times within 7months last year, I did not know anything about this pill since my boyfriend is the one who introduced me to this pill so he did not tell me the danger of it except the fact that it will protect me from falling prengnant.
I later visited the doctor that year and i told her about the pill and she scared me off when she told me that i may end up not having children in the future.
Dr Eve you are my only last hope now please tell me what are my chances of having kids, is there something I can do to clean my womb in case if its affected by the pill. I went for pub smear but it always come out clean. Am 27 years old and am planning to have children in my early 30's but am now scared that i may end up not being able to conceive. Pls help!

Your information given to you by your boyfriend is incorrect. The morning after pill or emergency contraceptive, is NOT a birth control method.
Emergency contraception is just what it’s name implies: it is to be used in emergencies. Emergencies include a condom breaking and the woman not being on a regular contraceptive; missing a few daily oral contraceptives; not using any protection at all. In other words it is to be used only when there is an emergency. You are using it as regular contraception.
It cannot do you any harm as it is merely a combination of hormones, same as the oral contraceptives, but in higher dosages.
Your fertility will not be affected by use or rather misuse of it. You are not aborting a child- merely avoiding a pregnancy.
However I urge you to visit your gyne or a family planning clinic and get onto a reliable contraceptive that suits your lifestyle. And grab as many condoms as you can- you have got to use condoms each and every time you have sex even if you are on contraception. It would be a good idea for both you and your boyfriend to get tested right now.
