I just love the idea of a product that liberates a woman instead of being tied to tampons and that horrible telltale string. I do have one question though: is it possible to have sex while the cup is in place? I have erratic periods due to an iud (Mirena) and never quite know when my period is going to start in earnest or when I'm going to have a bleed during sex. It can be quite messy sometimes and the bed ends up looking like a murder scene. While my partner doesn't seem to mind most times, it can be just a little offputting, I mind, I find myself watching for spots instead of just enjoying the moment!

The MPower Cup cannot be used during sexual intercourse – not enough space inside your vagina for the product plus a penis! Use it to collect menstrual blood before intercourse, empty it out and insert it back.
There is no reason to stop being sexual without penetration whilst bleeding - and of course if you use a condom, and have a willing partner take out your Cup and enjoy safe penetration. I hear you about spotting – only solution is liberal use of towels, loose the embarrassment and practice condom use all the time.
