Hi Dr. Eve

I am 35 and mother of a 2year old. Please help!! I am on medication (Prozac) and have NO sex drive at all! Can you suggest supplements/medication that will bring back my drive? I don't feel like having sex or foreplay, but this is definitely starting to affect our marriage....

No drugs are available for women with low desire. Your problem and resultant frustration is so common- I know that doesn't help you directly. But perhaps its comforting to know that other women struggle after babies to regain that sexual lusting. It could be due to fatigue, feeling less comfortable in a new shaped body, feeling you've lost yourself and when you have time alone you want time alone. Solution to regaining some of this sexual feeling is not to be found in a bottle of pills, nor cream . Its you rediscovering what sex can be like now you are a mom. Read my book PILLOWBOOK (OSHUN,2007) as I wrote it with women like you in mind. It will enable you to recapture your sexiness and to find it if you never had it.

Prozac, as all other SSSRI anti depressant medications, do indeed kill off sexual desire. There really is very little you can do about this. Please do not stop taking your meds. So you have a lethal combination of baby and depression medication! You really have to find good reasons to have sex. Which is why I know PILLOWBOOK has helped so many women- it gives you yourself back to you!
