Hi Dr. Eve

I'm pregnant and scared to do sex and my husband doesn't like that at all. I'm six months. My problem is I dont know how to do it because I dont want him to lie on top of me so is there any other way that u can advise me? Another thing when i'm sleeping i dont feel comfortable when I sleep side ways I only feel comfortable when I sleep with my stomach.

I wonder of what you are scared - please do not be scared of hurting the baby as this baby is well protected within a sack floating in fluid so he/she will not feel if any penetration happens.

In terms of positions of course you may well feel uncomfortable with your man on top of you. Many pregnant women feel more comfortable with side -by-side sex - if you lie on your side and he penetrates you from behind. Or else lie on your back and swing your legs over his body , position yourself right at his penis, so he can gain entry into your vagina this way.

But enough about penetration-I would like you to continue being intimate even if it excludes penetration for now. Surely kissing, touching, caressing , masturbating each other, oral sex on him (you should stop oral sex on yourself until after delivery) , licking each other all over, talking intimately , keeping close so when your baby is born he is born to 2 parents who feel close and good with each other. When your baby arrives you will be tired and less available to your man so make good now.
