□ extreme elation and joy
□ desire to please the other above yourself
□ agreeing to almost everything the partner requests
□ making few requests
□ believing you have a lot in common
□ excitement
□ despair
□ uncertainty
□ fear
□ safety
□ reduction of feelings of stress
□ horniness
□ endless hours daydreaming about the person
□ sexual fantasies about the person
□ incredible energy
□ a sense that your love object is the most amazing person in the world
□ a desire to be nice to everyone
□ inability to be nice to everyone
□ inability to stop touching the person
□ possessiveness or jealousy
□ a lot of time spent grooming
□ anxiety
□ inability to concentrate on anything except thoughts of the person
□ desire to talk to the person all the time
□ a preference of talking rather than making love
□ a need to be close to the person often
□ agitation and distress when separated from the person
□ relaxed, calm feelings when you are with the person
□ enjoying being out socially with the person
□ feeling as if you can be yourself

If you are in the early stages of love sickness (sex and attraction), you are likely to have ticked more symptoms near the top of this list. If you are in a long-term relationship, you probably ticked off the last few symptoms. This means you are in the attachment phase of romantic love.
